1990 Graduated University in Japan.

1988 First travel China.

1993-1997 Stayed in Beijing, China.

1995 Traveled Lhasa, Tibet (Tibet Autonomous Region, China)

1996 Inspired by Chinese auspicious painting(農民畫/年畫), and started painting.
2000 Found Official site- “Lailai Wo de SiHeYuan”(Biglobe).(till 2022)

2002 On a Chinese language text book by Toho Shoten(Japan)

2004 Started silkscreen art. (Under a Japanese woman artist-Yuriko Terao at Kanazawa-city.)

 

2006 First visiting Bhutan as a tourist. She was fascinated with Bhutanese auspicious painting.

2009 Second visiting Bhutan to apply for the admission into National Institute for Zorig Chusum.

2006~2009 Received many awards(details as follows).

 Recieved the Special Selection Prize in Shika City Contest(Japan).

2010 Solo exhibition at Tentoku Temple in Kanazawa-city, Japan.

 

2011 Entered the 6-yearsThangka course at National Institute for Zorig Chusum, Thimphu. (Till 2015)

2012 Solo exhibition at Terton Gallery in Thimphu, Bhutan.

2013 Illustrated a children book “Tshegho -the garment of life-“ written by Bhutanese woman author-Kunzang Choden. 

2014/2015 2nd Prize of the individual category at the Institute Comtetition of Zorig Chusum, Thimphu. (@Those works have collected by the younger sister of the 4th King and the daughter of the first queen of the 4th King.)  

2016-2017 Worked at Pelkhil School as Arts & Crafts teacher in Thimphu, Bhutan.

2016 June Married with a Bhutanese traditional painter.

2013~2017 Participated many group exhibition(Details as follows).

2016  A group exhibition "Imaginaive" at Musée international d'art naïf de Magog, Quebec, Canada.  (@The work collected by Museum.) 

2017 A group exhibition “I Pittori Dal Cuore Sacro” by POLP MUSEALE at Gualdo Tadino, Italy.

 

2017 Designed a photographic book “Sacred Dances of Bhutan” by Bhutanese photographer- Kezang Namgay.

2018 On "Self-portreit dictionary of naive art" by Costel Iftinchi in Rumania.

2018 Moved to Japan.

Founded Bhutanese Traditional Art Studio in Japan. 

The artist name changed YOKO J.("J" meanes "Jamyang").

 

2019 Held art exhibition "The Form of Happiness" at gallery-"KAN" in Narita, Japan. (*)

2019 Introduced by ART PEPORT on an art magazine-Monthly Gallery. (*)

2020 Selected as a finalist of International Artists Grand Prix Competition of "Art Revolution Taipei 2021". 

2021 Held "Bhutan Traditional Art Studio Exhibition" from March 29th to April 3rd at the Gallery-"Mozart" in Kyobashi, Tokyo. (*)

2021 Held art exhibition "The Color of Happiness" at gallery-"KAN" in Narita, Japan. (*)

 

2022 Selected for an artist of the A.R.T.2021 Preview Show by an organizer- X-Power Gallery, and exhibited at Taichung. (*)

2022 Spoke as a main guest at an online event hosted by GNH Travel&Service- "The 11th Got to know Bhutan! Connect online in Bhutan".

2022 Displayed at the preview show ofArt Revolution Taipei 2022 as an finalist of "2020 International Artists Grand Prix Competition". 

2022 Selected as a finalist of International Artists Grand Prix Competition of "Art Revolution Taipei 2023".
